About

There are many people struggling with the difficult issues of trauma-related issues, difficult or confusing mental health diagnoses, and/or differing types of addiction. My goal and focus is to help those who have a hard time finding lasting help in their struggles. Living a restored, manageable and fulfilling life is possible through skilled professional counseling. I have seen tremendous growth in these areas and would like to more people experience the freedom others have gained.

In my profession, I choose to specialize in helping those in sexual addiction (pornography, sexual ventures, affairs, and other types) and drug/alcohol addiction. Also, helping those who have experienced long-lasting anxiety or trauma (sexual, physical, emotional, or neglect). When I refer to the word trauma, I am referring to moments, whether “big” or “small,” that seem to have a lasting negative effect on day-to-day life. My primary formal training in this area is EMDR and complex trauma/dissociative disorders through the ISSTD.

In therapy, I take a collaborative effort in treatment planning and care. This means I will create a treatment plan for you, but you have the right to adjust, make decisions, and share input. Thankfully, there are reliable options in how to work through your present struggles. Your therapy is yours and you will not be forced into anything.
