About

I have over 16 years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist and I have confirmed that healing is a deeply personal experience. Each of us is an expert in our own lives and we all bring strengths and resources to the healing process; however, we need help too since none of us has all the answers or strength to handle life alone.

As a parent of five children who has also worked with hundreds of families and teenagers in both group and individual formats, I know that every individual is unique. I believe that most of the actions which cause our greatest problems are attempts to solve problems and cope with life. By honoring the positive intentions of those actions, we can see the goodness inside despite our pain and challenges.

The ineffective solutions can become roadmaps to understanding and satisfying our unmet needs or unresolved pain. I specialize in working with the anxiety, depression, and/or trauma that often drive other undesirable issues, including addiction, low self-esteem, oppositional behavior, and relationship problems. I enjoy working with teenagers, families, couples and individuals in the healing process. I will use CBT, EMDR, Hypnotherapy, DBT, and I am a Psych-K facilitator. I love meeting clients where they are to help them get where they want to be.
